About Landon

Landon is an elegant and charismatic vocalist with a smooth yet powerful voice reminiscent of the great crooners of the American songbook, from Frank Sinatra and Johnny Hartman to Harry Connick Jr. and Michael Bublé. Before moving to Barcelona, Landon performed regularly for over a decade in Washington, D.C.'s finest jazz clubs, as well as renowned venues like the Kennedy Center and the Greenbrier Resort.

Whether in an acoustic piano and vocal setting or with a full six-piece band, Landon is passionate about creating an intimate and captivating atmosphere. As a bandleader, he collaborates with some of the region's best musicians, performing jazz standards, energetic blues, and pop classics that make audiences feel part of something truly special.  His debut album, recorded in Washington, D.C. with The Landon Paddock Quartet, is set to release in 2026.

Born and raised just outside Washington, D.C. in Prince George's County, Maryland, Landon absorbed the city's rich jazz history that includes Duke Ellington and Shirley Horn, and his childhood was steeped in the music of giants like Ella Fitzgerald and John Coltrane. He considers it a huge honor to have had the opportunity to perform in the Washington D.C. jazz clubs on the famous U Street Corridor, which he frequented even before he reached the legal drinking age. Landon is now thrilled to bring his art to Europe.

Turn Up the Cry

Turn Up the Cry is set to release in Autumn, 2026. It’s a pandemic-era document of an absurd decade in a complicated city rich with jazz and assorted other emotions.

Which is to say it’s some of my favorite standards, and some other stuff, recorded live in studio at Bias Studios with five people I care about a great deal, and live during a pandemic stream (!) at An Die Musik in Baltimore with those same people.

Turn Up the Cry’s ten tracks were produced and arranged, mostly, by Steve Arnold, who also played bass on the album. The album photograph was taken by my marvelous partner Aleksandra Zaytseva.
